Before making a booking, we kindly ask you to carefully read and understand our Terms and Conditions, which govern your trip with us. If you have any questions, our team is here to assist you.

By booking with Maven Tanzania Safaris, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:


1. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal data. By using our website and booking our services, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We use secure encryption and do not share your details with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.


2. Booking & Payment Policies

2.1 Booking Confirmation

  • A 30-50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before departure.
  • If booking is made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required.
  • Special requests (dietary, medical, etc.) must be communicated during booking to ensure proper arrangements.

2.2 Accepted Payment Methods

  • We accept bank transfers, debit/credit cards, and secure online payment platforms.
  • Payment details and invoices will be provided upon confirmation.

2.3 Late or Non-Payment

  • If the final payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. Standard cancellation policies will apply.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

3.1 Cancellation by the Client

In case of a cancellation, the following charges apply:

  • More than 60 days before departure – Full refund minus transaction fees.
  • 30–59 days before departure – 50% refund of the total safari cost.
  • Less than 30 days before departure – No refund.

Important Notes:

  • Refunds are processed within 30 business days of cancellation.
  • No refunds will be issued for missed departures, unused services, or last-minute itinerary changes requested by the client.

3.2 Cancellation by Maven Tanzania Safaris

While we do everything possible to maintain your safari as planned, we reserve the right to cancel or modify trips in unforeseen circumstances such as:

  • Extreme weather conditions, road closures, or security risks.
  • Failure of the client to meet visa, health, or payment requirements.

If Maven Tanzania Safaris cancels your trip for reasons beyond your control, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost.


4. Changes & Modifications

4.1 Changes by the Client

  • Itinerary modifications requested more than 60 days before departure may be accommodated, subject to availability. Additional fees may apply.
  • Changes requested within 60 days of departure are treated as cancellations and are subject to the cancellation policy.

4.2 Changes by Maven Tanzania Safaris

  • If unforeseen circumstances require an itinerary adjustment, we will provide a comparable alternative to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Clients will be notified in advance of any significant changes to accommodations, activities, or travel dates.

5. Travel Insurance Requirement

  • All travelers must have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, cancellations, lost baggage, and personal liability.
  • Maven Tanzania Safaris is not liable for costs related to illness, injury, or travel disruptions.

6. Health, Safety & Entry Requirements

6.1 Vaccinations & Health Precautions

  • Travelers must comply with Tanzania’s health regulations, including vaccinations for yellow fever (if applicable).
  • Anti-malarial medication is recommended. Consult a doctor for up-to-date travel health advice.

6.2 Passport & Visa Requirements

  • Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended departure date.
  • Clients are responsible for securing the necessary visas and entry permits.

6.3 Safety Protocols

  • Clients must follow safety instructions from guides and respect national park regulations.
  • Maven Tanzania Safaris is not responsible for injuries resulting from reckless behavior or failure to follow guidelines.

7. Liability & Responsibility

  • Maven Tanzania Safaris acts as a facilitator between travelers and service providers (hotels, airlines, transport companies). While we carefully select trusted partners, we are not responsible for:
    • Delays or cancellations caused by third parties (airlines, government policies, etc.).
    • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the trip.
  • Clients participate in all activities at their own risk. Maven Tanzania Safaris is not liable for any accidents, health issues, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

8. Code of Conduct & Ethical Tourism

8.1 Respect for Local Culture & Environment

  • Guests must respect local customs, communities, and wildlife.
  • Feeding animals, littering, or engaging in unethical tourism practices is strictly prohibited.

8.2 Guide & Staff Behavior

  • Our team is committed to professional service. Any inappropriate behavior from guides or staff should be reported immediately.

9. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)

Maven Tanzania Safaris cannot be held liable for cancellations, delays, or disruptions caused by:

  • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, pandemics, etc.).
  • Political unrest, strikes, or government restrictions.
  • Airline failures, visa rejections, or personal travel issues.

In such cases, refunds or rescheduling options will be considered based on the situation.


10. Intellectual Property & Website Use

  • All content, branding, and materials on our website are owned by Maven Tanzania Safaris and cannot be copied, modified, or used without permission.
  • Website users must not engage in fraudulent activities, spam, or misuse of our online services.
