Day 1: Arrival in Moshi or Arusha
Arrive in Moshi or Arusha, where you’ll meet your guide and attend a detailed briefing about the trek. After a gear check, relax at your hotel and prepare for the climb ahead.

Day 2: Moshi/Arusha to Mandara Hut (2,720m)
After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate for registration. Begin trekking through the lush rainforest, where you may spot colobus monkeys and unique birdlife. Arrive at Mandara Hut for dinner and rest amidst the tranquil forest.

Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
Leave the rainforest behind as the trail ascends into the heath and moorland zone. Enjoy views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks along the way and marvel at the diverse flora, including giant lobelias. Overnight at Horombo Hut.

Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700m)
Trek across the alpine desert of the Saddle, a barren yet stunning landscape between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon, where you’ll rest and prepare for your early morning summit attempt.

Day 5: Summit Day – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), Descend to Horombo Hut
Begin your summit attempt at midnight, climbing steadily to Gilman’s Point on the crater rim. Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise. After celebrating at the summit, descend to Horombo Hut for a well-earned rest.

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate, Return to Moshi/Arusha
Descend through the lush rainforest to Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to Moshi or Arusha to celebrate your successful climb and relax at your hotel.
